Using an Unsupported Modem

Cradlepoint does not offer assistance with setting up any non-officially supported modems by phone, chat, or e-mail, beyond the scope of this article.
To determine whether your modem is officially supported, please review your router's firmware release notes. Additional "known to work" modem list can be found here.
If your modem is listed as "legacy supported" or not listed at all, it is not currently supported. There are several factors that can prevent a modem from being placed on our supported list:
- the modem hardware or software has been found to be incompatible with Cradlepoint router hardware or software
- the needed software code for this device/carrier to function correctly is not included within Cradlepoint router firmware
- the necessary technical information to support for the modem has not been provided to Cradlepoint
- the modem has not been tested for compatibility
Please consider using an alternative modem from our official supported modems list. Refer to the links below for some suggestions that might allow your device to work with the Cradlepoint router.

Establishing a Hotspot Connection:
If your device has the capability to create a Wi-Fi Hotspot, it can be used in conjunction with Series 3 Cradlepoint routers' WiFi as WAN feature. Please use this link if you are using firmware version 6.
It may be possible to get the modem or phone to work with the Cradlepoint router by rolling back or updating router's firmware.
If you are able to get your unsupported device to work with your CradlePoint router, but continue to experience issues such as connection drops, Cradlepoint cannot assist with any additional troubleshooting.
